Executive Chairman Eric Mower joined a small Syracuse advertising firm in 1968, becoming a partner in the company in the early 1970s and then buying 100% of the agency in 1980. His vision of what an independent marketing agency could accomplish in an industry dominated by multinational firms has inspired talented Fierce Friends to build an award-winning company serving an amazing group of clients. 

Along the way he instilled a “Press On” attitude in the company, modeling insatiable curiosity and a commitment to community that are hallmarks of our agency today. In 2022, Eric made our “Act Like an Owner” value a reality when Mower became an ESOP, one of an exclusive group of U.S. agencies that are 100% employee owned.

In 2023 Eric’s 56-year legacy of leadership continued when he appointed Stephanie Crockett as his successor, and he became Executive Chairman of Mower. Today, Eric leads the Mower board of directors and lends his counsel to Mower’s core leadership team in support of the agency’s industry-leading client work.

And although we have a lot of talented people who do a lot of different talented things in a lot of different locations…we’re all connected.
