Patient Portal Technologies Selects EMA as AOR for Major Rebranding Effort

At a critical time in refocusing its business, Patient Portal Technologies, a national provider of patient-centric nonmedical services, hired Eric Mower and Associates (EMA) as agency of record for a major rebranding effort and integrated marketing campaign.

By studying healthcare delivery dynamics in hospitals, Patient Portal seized the opportunity to transform itself into a total satisfaction company. Patient Portal weaved together an entire continuum of existing and new service offerings that provide improved satisfaction to patients and their families, medical personnel, and hospitals.

Through leading-edge technologies and a staffed 24/7 communications center, Patient Portal can leverage a hospital’s existing infrastructure to offer services that focus on education, safety, entertainment, comfort and enhanced communication. These services can be offered to patients before admission, during their stay and after discharge, delivered online and through the television, telephone, postal mail or direct delivery.

“We’re rebuilding our business to more closely align with our clients’ needs and priorities by serving as a fully integrated, interactive support system,” said Mike Lorenz, President of Patient Portal Technologies. “With such a great need for this type of service in our industry, we see it as a wise investment to work with a top-notch marketing agency. We chose EMA because of their experience and knowledge in the healthcare industry. And because I’ve worked with the firm in the past, I am confident that they can deliver for us.”

EMA is assisting Patient Portal with strategic planning, branding, research, direct mail, public relations, marketing collateral and a sophisticated new website to be designed by EMA Pump Digital & Direct, which specializes in interactive, direct and relationship marketing solutions.

“Because Patient Portal has really redefined how hospitals can deliver on non-medical service, they have a tremendous opportunity for growth, and we’re extremely excited to be a part of that,” said Mark Russell, Senior Partner, EMA. “The rebranding and supporting marketing communications we create will reflect what their company has been able to achieve: the tight integration of leading edge technology, with the human attention that makes the experience more powerful. You’ll see a blend of both online and offline activities that will provide depth and texture to their brand experience.”
