EMA will help build awareness of Park Sterling’s banks, which are designed to combine the customer service of community bank with the capabilities and insight of a large bank. The agency will assist in advertising, promotions and public relations as the bank continues to spread its footprint throughout the Carolinas and Virginia.
"We interviewed several agencies, but EMA demonstrated a true understanding of our business,” said Park Sterling President Bryan Kennedy. “Their depth of financial services experience really shined through."
EMA has a broad background in financial services. The work with Park Sterling comes shortly after the bank raised $150 million through a public offering and its leaders announced plans to grow from a startup to a regional bank that’s as big as $8 billion-$10 billion. The growth strategy entails both acquiring banks in the Carolinas and Virginia, and recruiting teams of experienced bankers in high-growth markets in the three states.
“Park Sterling is one of the rising stars in banking today. In 2006, they raised more initial capital than any bank in North Carolina history, and coupled with their 2010 IPO, they are uniquely positioned to take advantage of the disruptions in the markets,” said Matt Ferguson, managing partner of EMA’s Charlotte office. “We can't wait to tell that story.”
