A year after moving its corporate headquarters to Buffalo, New York, Labatt USA names EMA: brand public relations agency of record. The companies will partner to promote Labatt brands in core markets, most of which are in the northern part of the United States.
EMA will provide a suite of traditional and non-traditional public relations services that cover special events, guerrilla marketing and sampling, social media, and community and media relations.
“EMA was a strong choice for us. They have significant experience in brand public relations and retail promotion both locally and nationally,” said Peter Bodenham, director of marketing, Labatt USA. “They also have a strong regional presence that aligns with many of our core markets.”
“Labatt USA continues its commitment to Buffalo and Western New York by choosing a local agency to help them grow and market their brands,” said Doug Bean, managing partner at EMA. “It’s great to see two local businesses like Labatt and EMA partnering and impacting Western New York. This is truly a merger of local talent, and we’re delighted to be working with them.”
Labatt USA moved its headquarters in July of 2007, choosing Buffalo because of its significant sales and close proximity to its Canadian headquarters in Toronto.
Headquartered in Buffalo, NY, Labatt USA imports Labatt Blue daily from Canada, and is America’s top-selling Canadian beer imported by Labatt USA. First brewed in 1951, Labatt Blue offers a clean, refreshing taste, light color, slight hop aroma, good balance, fruity character and a slightly sweet taste. A 2004 Gold Medalist in the World Beer Cup, Labatt Blue Light is the No. 2 Canadian import behind Labatt Blue.
Labatt USA imports and markets Labatt Blue™, Labatt Blue Light™, Kokanee™ and other Canadian brands into the United States. Labatt USA also imports and markets Brahma beer from Brazil, one in InBev’s portfolio of specialty beer brands.
