EMA Webinar Examines Consumer Changes and the Impact on Retail Shopping

Consumers are in charge and their shifting attitudes and actions have led to some incredibly dynamic changes in retail. These changes will drive the discussion during Eric Mower and Associates’ (EMA) upcoming webinar titled “Retail Renaissance” Thursday, July 10 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. The webinar will look at what’s on the minds of consumers and how it’s affecting their shopping and buying behaviors.

Presented by EMA, a nationally recognized marketing communications agency with specialized expertise in retail promotion and advertising, the webinar also will examine implications for retailers. Regardless of product or service, participants can find new opportunities for marketing to today’s consumers. Presenters Sandy Gingerich, EMA senior partner, and Virginia Bates, EMA partner, promotion planning, will share real-time examples of what’s happening in the marketplace. They’ll discuss how issues like The New Green and Consumer Confidence are changing how shoppers shop and how they choose the products or services that are the new “right fits” for them.

“At EMA, we’re tracking trends and tuned into consumer behaviors,” said Bates. “We use this ever-evolving intelligence to help our clients respond with the ‘right stuff’.”

Participants can expect to walk away from this webinar with answers to questions such as:

  • How is the economy affecting consumers buying habits?
  • Are these temporary or long-term effects and why?
  • What can my company do to adapt to changes in the marketplace?
  • Do today’s economic challenges have implications for my business model?
  • What brands are leading the response to shoppers’ behaviors?

“We’re helping our clients become more aware of the playing field so, together, we can develop a strategic and successful game plan at retail, no matter what their business is – packaged goods, financial services, utilities, hard goods.” said Gingerich.

EMA’s webinars continue throughout this year with presentations planned by each of the agency’s practice group including business-to-business; business-to-consumer; brand promotion; and public relations/public affairs. Drawing on the agency’s expertise in each of these areas, the webinars focus on ways decision makers can improve their marketing strategies and overall business success.
