EMA Hosts Open House at New Downtown Albany Office

Eric Mower + Associates held an open house and reception on Jan.15 at its new downtown Albany office, located at 30 South Pearl St. in Omni Plaza. The event featured a conversation between Pulitzer prize-winning author William Kennedy and Albany Times Union columnist Fred LeBrun about downtown Albany’s colorful past.

“The open house was a great opportunity for our clients, business partners, and community organizations to see and tour our new space,” said Sean Casey, EMA Director of Public Affairs and partner in charge of EMA’s Albany office. “On behalf of all the professionals at EMA, I thank everyone who attended and helped make this a successful event to remember.”

The event featured a reception on the penthouse level of Omni Plaza with a live jazz band, hor d'oeuvres, and a conversation between Fred LeBrun and William Kennedy. LeBrun and Kennedy discussed how Albany emerged into the political powerhouse of New York State in the first half of the twentieth century, as well as the history behind the city’s construction and active journalism.

“We are enjoying our new, vibrant downtown location as we continue to grow our public affairs practice,” said Casey. “We have received nothing but warm welcomes in the last few months, making our move to downtown an easy and exciting transition.”

EMA opened its Albany office in 1997, which has since grown to create the region's largest and most deeply resourced public relations and public affairs practice. EMA Albany, along with its six other offices, is ranked as one of the nation's top 20 independent communications agencies.
