Eric Mower + Associates recently made key staff appointments to build its search engine marketing (SEM) capabilities. Greg Weyman, senior director at EMA, has been tapped to lead the agency’s growing SEM practice group, which supports business-to-business and business-to-consumer clients across each of the agency’s seven offices. Joining Weyman on the team are Tonya Creamer and Joey Altherr.
According to a recent Forrester study that evaluated search marketing agencies from June 1, 2012, through September 30, 2012, respondents cited that the biggest search marketing challenge they expect to face in the next two years is integrating search marketing offerings with other marketing disciplines.
“Search marketing isn’t as straightforward as it used to be,” said Weyman. “As users increasingly search on different devices like tablets and smartphones or look for information across Facebook, Yelp or other non-traditional search engines, there is a new set of challenges for companies to be discovered in the digital space. EMA’s capabilities as an integrated communication agency with a long history in digital marketing ensures that we are well positioned to help clients increase their visibility online – so they are found at the right time – when their potential customers are searching for information.”
Weyman has more than 15 years’ experience in strategic and digital marketing. He has a proven track record of user/consumer engagement, lead generation and goal conversion in both online and offline marketplaces. As leader of EMA’s SEM practice group, Weyman works to align search engine marketing with EMA’s digital and integrated capabilities.
Creamer has been promoted to the role of search marketing supervisor, overseeing the performance of all EMA search marketing campaigns. Her responsibilities include strategy and implementation, optimization, measurement and reporting. Creamer, who is Google AdWords Certified, has been managing various digital media strategies for six years. She has been at EMA since 2010, most recently as senior media planner, where she primarily focused on digital and search marketing efforts.
Altherr recently joined EMA as a search marketing manager and serves as the strategic lead on paid and organic search engine marketing campaigns. His responsibilities include developing and optimizing search campaigns, along with implementing and managing organic search marketing efforts to achieve higher organic search results on sites like Google, Yahoo, and Bing. Altherr has 12 years of experience in the search marketing field. He is a Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW) certified web designer, and holds both search and display Google AdWords certifications.
