Clarke/EMA Welcomes Five New Employees

Clarke/EMA recently welcomed five team members to its Sarasota office: Margaret Moore, Andrea Glatfelter, Alicia King, Chad Richter and Marianna Rivero.

As an advertising senior account executive, Moore is responsible for strategic advertising, promotion and communications planning for ClosetMaid, a leading manufacturer of home storage and organization projects.

Prior to joining Clarke, Moore worked in New York with well-known advertising firms such as the Arnell Group, DDB and Bozell Advertising. With 10 years of experience, she has managed brands including Lipton Iced Tea, Jose Cuervo, Philips Electronics and worked on the Milk campaign team. Moore received her bachelor’s degree in sociology from Columbia University.

Glatfelter and King join Clarke as public relations account coordinators after interning at the agency last year. The two are responsible for the day-to-day public relations and account management activities for Clarke’s local and national clients, including PR planning and budgeting, maintaining media relationships and event planning.

Born in Wisconsin, Glatfelter was drawn to Florida’s sunshine. A graduate of the University of Tampa, she holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and a minor in advertising/public relations. Glatfelter supports consumer home goods clients including ClosetMaid and Emerson.

King transitions to Clarke after graduating from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in public relations and a concentration in business. A Venice, Fla. native, she previously interned with the Harn Museum of Art in Gainesville, Fla. King works with clients such as SKY Sotheby’s International Realty, the Florida Prepaid College Board and the American Craft Council.

Richter and Rivero come to Clarke as art directors. They are responsible for developing advertising campaigns across all types of media as well as the creation of collateral materials, brand identity and graphic standards for various clients.

An avid comic book reader, Richter makes his debut at Clarke after graduating with an illustration degree from Ringling College of Art and Design. His previous experience includes working with Prospects PLUS! and Environmental Biotech Inc. as a graphic designer.

Rivero, a Venezuelan-born graphic designer, previously worked with SRQ Magazine and DK Consulting Group Boutique. Possessing an eye for design, Rivero also has experience in retail buying and styling with Lotus Boutique and Izabella Boutique.

In early January, EMA Clarke Advertising & Public Relations joined forces in a move that extends the reach of one of the East Coast’s largest independent agencies into Florida. EMA’s acquisition of Clarke creates an agency with combined 2007 billings in excess of $170 million and more than 200 full-time employees in seven offices in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and Albany, N.Y.; Charlotte, N.C.; Atlanta, Ga.; and Sarasota, Fla.
