2009 Labatt Blue Pond Hockey Tournament Garners Brand Publicity and Consumer Generated Media

In February, 64 teams sharpened their skates and took to the ice for the second annual Labatt Blue Pond Hockey Tournament at the Erie Basin Marina. The tournament featured novice, intermediate and advanced players, competing on eight man-made rinks spanning nearly 136,000 square feet of a frozen Lake Erie.

EMA’s brand public relations team successfully promoted the event using traditional publicity and social media tactics. More than 5,000 people attended the second year event in downtown Buffalo.
